Snow Snow Snow!!

Yay I'm back to blogging! I have so much things to post about...

But firstly, more about the SNOW! It was snowing heavily in Manchester!!! Not so heavy like the ones you see on tv, but at least the heaviest it has ever been for a few years now ;)

I woke up to a glorious view in the morning...

This is the view from outside my window.

Below is how it looks like on a bright sunny day :)

Walking to our first class for Semester 2 wasn't an easy task! It was SO slippery. (Do I have a picture on the slipperi-ness? Hmm.. no) And of course everyone is throwing snowballs at everyone else, even people they don't know. We had to dodge the snowball craze to get to class safely, but I got a bit wet all the same because even Wani who was supposed to be 'dodging' the snowballs with me couldn't resist aiming some snow at me -_-"

(ya, I know. I am getting FAT! The weighing scale at The Mill says I'm 50+ kg. Don't believe it lah~ So penipu.. it weighs everyone heavier than what they're supposed to be.)

Anyway, luckily we decided to go snowman-making on that day because the next day had no snow at all! T.T

Tadaa~~!! My snowgirl #1 - Flower. I know it's so small. Blame GP la! (Grosvernor Place) So little snow.. not enough to make a bigger snowman. Plus I was sort of making it myself because the others were so busy flying snowballs above my head the whole time (and Teng was just standing there freezing himself. Haha!) It was fun though! I'm hoping for more snow so I can make a bigger snowman! :D

Carols by Candlelight

Yesterday night was AWESOME!!! We had Carols by Candlelight service at Holy Name Church.

A total of 5 choirs were involved : Angelorum Choir (us!), CAOS (Choir and Orchestra Society), Ad Solem (University Chamber Choir), University Harmony Gospel Choir, and the Nigerian Choir. More people than usual came to church and everyone got to hold a candle in the dark!

The bishop was present as well. All the performances were fantastic. It's the first time I actually sang with a full 4 part choir backed with the orchestra and trumpets! The choir stand was full of people in black coats (typical UK fashion -.-"). 3 choirs were squeezed (and I really mean squeeze! the guys had to stand throughout the whole service) upstairs on the stand while the other two were stationed downstairs.

All sorts of instruments were surrounding us: violins, double bass, cello, pipe organ, trumpets.. bla bla. It was really chaotic at first but everything turned out great! It felt like we were really praising and welcoming a truly majestic Lord! After the service there was mince pies and hot drinks next door... hihihi. One thing I really enjoy at the chaplaincy :D

Got to go now... Traditional British Christmas dinner in an hour!

Where?

At the chaplaincy again of course :D

Bye!

Quick Quick! SNOW~

8 am in Manchester...

Haha! So little snow. I know.

But my flatmate said that's about as much as you get in Manchester, since Manchester is known for its WET weather. Hopefully on one (or more!) rare days it'll snow heavier so I can make a snowman :D

Cheers!
