Quick glimpse at Manchester

Heya all! Sorry for the laaate update. My house had no internet connection at all for the past week. >:( I'm safe and well here (early stages of cold + fever + flu), but really unhappy with my noisy flatmates who love to drink and drink and party and party IN our flat.

Just so everyone knows: Young people in UK know no other night life then going to pubs/clubs to drink and drink and drink. *Even when it's freezing cold!*

Will post a proper update when I'm not that busy. This week's our 1st week and we already have a design project: "Manufacturing milk powder". We have to do loads of calculations and research and I have no idea what differentiation means already. ???

Here are some photos of my journey here and a bit of the sights of the University of Manchester, which is merged with the city. Enjoy!

p.s.I ate Krispy Kreme for breakfast this morning! Hohoho! Waaaay better than J.Co/Big apple. ;)

My Time at UNMC

This blog entry is dedicated specially to friends from UNMC-The University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. As mentioned in my previous post, I won't be continuing my 1st Year in UNMC this September. Of course I won't pretend that I'm not excited to study in the UK, but at the same time I will miss friends at UNMC, with a slight regret that I did not have much time to enjoy as much as I would want to considering that I only had 10 months to spend with everyone.

Most of my time towards the end of the semester was spent studying, studying, and more studying. If I had known that semester was the last, I would have made more effort to spend time with everyone. Maybe learn Dota from my 3 addicted housemates? ;p On the other hand, if I did not study hard, I wouldn't have the opportunity I have now. Hmmm.. confusing. Anyway! What's past is past. Regretting is no use, instead, we should learn from experiences! Indeed this experience has taught me something valuable: Treasure what you have now, you may never know when you may lose it. Appreciate those around you, especially family members and friends. The future is important, but the "present" is a gift that may never come again.

A mere 10 months was a very brief time to build strong, lasting friendships, but it was more than enough time to make great friends that you can rely on :) With the limited pictures I possess, I have created a concised slide show of my time at UNMC. This slide show cannot truly describe my full experience at UNMC-all the friends I made, all the tough and fun times I went through, but it rekindles memories from the very start of the semester to the very end. People I care about and events that I bother remembering make memories at UNMC precious ones :) Enjoy!
